The Importance of the INSHPO OHS Capability Framework and the Singapore Accord

A significant step toward safer and healthier workplaces was taken on September 3, 2017 when the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) joined more than 40 organizations from around the world in the landmark signing of the Singapore Accord on the Standards of OHS Professionals.

Mississauga, ON – December 1 2020 – The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) is pleased to announce 97 occupational health and safety (OHS) professionals have recently been granted certification as Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (CRSP)®.

The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) held the second writing of the Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) certification examination in August 2020 and is pleased to announce 36 individuals were newly awarded the CRST certification.

The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) is pleased to announce Jennifer MacFarlane with Workplace Safety & Prevention Services as the BCRSP Volunteer of the Year for 2020.

Jennifer MacFarlane has been a Canadian Registered Safety Professional since 1999 and is passionately committed to continual learning and collaboration. Her talents in these areas generate enthusiasm and engagement in everyone she works with, wherever she goes.

The BCRSP Governing Board recently approved changes to the CPD Program in response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.  The changes are aimed to alleviate the impact that certificants may be experiencing due to the current limit on professional development offerings to ensure certificants can meet the CPD requirements.
