MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO – July 20, 2017 - The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) Governing Board has approved the Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) Certification. 
 
The development of the certification began in 2016 with the formation of a Technician Certification Steering Committee. Subsequently, a focus group and validation study were held to confirm the competencies required of a CRST. 
 
The Governing Board has approved the eligibility criteria for the CRST as follows:

Mississauga, ON – October 7, 2019 – The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) held the second writing of the Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) certification examination in August 2019 and is pleased to announce 34 individuals have now been awarded the CRST certification.

Mississauga, ON – September 17 2019 — The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) is pleased to announce Graham Nelson, Occupational Health and Safety Specialist at the University of Ottawa as Volunteer of the Year for 2019.

Graham has been a CRSP since 2010 and is a strong advocate for workplace health and safety.
