MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO – July 1, 2021 The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) appoints Robin Angel, BSc, MSc, CRSP as Governing Board Chair effective July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2023. Robin Angel is the twenty-sixth Chairperson since the certification body’s incorporation in 1976 and succeeds David Johnston who has served as Chair since July 2020.

On June 10, 2021, the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) signed a partnership agreement with the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists (CRBOH).  

The BCRSP and the CRBOH recognize the benefits of a collaborative partnership to improve safety and health in workplaces and the development of occupational health and safety practitioners at all levels.

The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) is pleased to announce that the Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) certification was awarded accreditation by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) under the ISO/IEC 17024:2012 standard for the certification of persons. ISO 17024 accreditation by SCC was granted for the CRST certification on March 24, 2021.
