Reciprocal Agreements

Memoranda of Understanding (MOU)

BCRSP certifications are recognized globally and we have a memorandum of understanding with several certification bodies whereby valid certification holders may apply for certification by BCRSP through an MOU pathway. For information on these agreements, please see the individual agreements below.

Memoranda of Understanding

Australian Institute of Health & Safety (AIHS) formerly SIA

BCRSP has a Memorandum of Understanding with AIHS (formerly SIA) which allows COHSProf and ChOHSP to apply for the CRSP® certification under a streamlined application process.  To review a copy of the AIHS MOU, click here. COHSProf or ChOHSP interested in obtaining their CRSP® certification should:

  1. Create an account on the BCRSP credentialing system
  2. Select the appropriate MOU application, complete application and submit documentation along with the $75.00 + HST/GST application fee
  3. Upon approval of your application, payment and verification of the credential, you will receive an examination authorization form. The fee for a BCRSP examination is $175.00 + GST/HST.

If you are a CRSP® interested in obtaining your COHSPrac or COHSProf certification, e-mail AIHS for more information.

Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP)

BCRSP has a Memorandum of Understanding with the BCSP which allows CSPs to apply for the CRSP® designation.  To review a copy of the BCSP MOU, click here. CSPs interested in obtaining their CRSP® designation should:

  1. Create an account on the BCRSP credentialing system
  2. Select the appropriate MOU application, complete application and submit documentation along with the $75.00 + HST/GST application fee
  3. Upon approval of your application, payment and verification of the credential, you will receive an examination authorization form. The fee for a BCRSP examination is $175.00 + GST/HST.

If you are a CRSP® interested in obtaining your CSP designation, click here for more information. You will be required to go through the regular BCSP process, but as long as you meet the BCSP's eligibility requirements there is a waiver of the ASP examination.

Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)

BCRSP has a Memorandum of Understanding with IOSH which allows CMIOSHs to apply for the CRSP® designation under a streamlined application process. To review a copy of the IOSH MOU, click here

NEBOSH

BCRSP has a Memorandum of Understanding with NEBOSH which allows graduates of the National or International Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (now called the 'National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals'  or the 'International Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Professionals') to apply for the CRST certification under a streamlined application process, and for those individuals that meet the additional education and experience requirements, apply for the CRSP® certification under a streamlined application process.  To review a copy of the NEBOSH MOU, click here

  2. Select the appropriate MOU application, complete application and submit documentation along with the $75.00 + HST/GST application fee
  3. Upon approval of your application, payment and verification of the credential, you will receive an examination authorization form. The fee for a BCRSP examination is $175.00 + GST/HST.
