50 Years of Safety Certifications: Honouring our Past, Securing our Future 

The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) invites you to partner with us for the BCRSP’s 50 Anniversary Celebration Conference in Niagara Falls, Ontario from Sunday May 10th - Tuesday May 12th, 2026.

This special celebration conference will bring together leading safety professionals from across Canada and around the globe to learn, network, and celebrate 50 years of safety leadership! 

Certificants can earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points by participating in activities related to various emerging technologies. These points help ensure certificants stay informed about the latest industry standards, risks, and best practices. Safety professionals play a vital role in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks to protect the health, safety, and well-being of individuals in environments where emerging technologies are utilized.

Six leading Canadian organizations focused on occupational health and safety (OHS), occupational hygiene, and ergonomics have come together to explore enhanced collaboration. These organizations are the Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE), the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP), the Canadian College for the Certification of Professional Ergonomists (CCCPE), the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists (CRBOH), Health and Safety Professionals Canada (HSPC), and the Occupational Hygiene Association of Ontario (OHAO).

BCRSP has developed guiding principles aligned with approaches being undertaken by governments, policy makers, and credentialling bodies regarding the use of artificial intelligence (AI).  AI is a machine-based system that infers, from the input it receives, how to generate outputs such as predictions, content, recommendations, or decisions.  

The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) is pleased to announce 81 occupational health and safety (OHS) professionals have recently been granted the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® certification.

Call for Speakers

The BCRSP 50th Anniversary Conference is taking place May 10-12, 2026, in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

We are seeking presentations that will engage an audience of BCRSP certificants, aspiring certificants, and executives who hold the safety portfolio for their organisations. BCRSP certificants come from across all industry sectors.

We welcome proposals related to a wide range of subjects, however, key areas of focus for the conference will be:
