MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO – July 2, 2025, The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Larry Masotti, MA, BEd, CRSP, as the new Chair of its Governing Board effective July 1, 2025. Mr. Masotti's extensive background in occupational health and safety, coupled with his demonstrated leadership, uniquely positions him to guide the BCRSP in advancing its mission and upholding the highest standards of professional certification in Canada.
Larry is the twenty-seventh Chair since the certification body’s incorporation in 1976 and succeeds Paul Belair who served as Chair since July 1, 2023. Larry Masotti is retired from Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS), and previously held roles at WSPS as the Director, Strategic Relationships and Director, Marketing and Business Development in Toronto, Ontario. With over 25 years of health and safety experience, Larry currently serves as the President for Minerva Canada Safety Management Education Inc., as an International Review Panelist for the National Safety Council’s R.W. Campbell Award, and as a member of Humber College’s Bachelor of Health Sciences, Workplace Health & Wellness Program Advisory Committee. He has been a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® since 2000.

The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) is a federally incorporated self-regulating, self-governing, ISO 17024 accredited and ISO 9001 certified organization established in 1976. The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals sets certification standards for occupational health and safety professionals. The BCRSP grants the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® and the Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST®) certifications to individuals who successfully complete the certification process through application assessment, and examination. The Board governs its certificants in order that the public interest may be served and protected.
