BCRSP Supports Threads of Life Scholarships

In 2018, the BCRSP Governing Board entered into a partnership with the Threads of Life. The Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support, known as Threads of Life, is a Canadian registered charity dedicated to supporting families after a workplace fatality, life-altering injury or occupational disease. The BCRSP partnership looked to create a unique scholarship opportunity to support Threads of Life family members.

2019 is the launch of the scholarship program which will see four (4) x $2500 national scholarships available to Threads of Life family members who are students enrolled, either full-time or part-time, in a college or university program.

BCRSP is excited to enter this new partnership with Threads of Life,” said BCRSP Board Chair Kevin Dawson, CRSP. “As safety professionals we certainly understand the importance of programs and services for those affected by workplace tragedy. Many of our certificants are already involved with Threads of Life, and we look forward to working together to advance the vision we share, of safe and healthy workplaces across Canada."
