2025 Salary Survey Data

The 2025 Salary Survey published by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) indicates that 89.4% of respondents are satisfied or more than satisfied with their career in occupational health and safety. A total of 6,237 invitations to complete the survey online were successfully distributed to certificants from across Canada with a response rate of 29.2%, a slight decrease of 3.3%  from the 2023 survey.

The Salary Survey is conducted every second year and highlights key demographic and employment variables of certificants from across Canada.

Across Canada, 69.4% of respondents reported salaries of above $100,000. For comparison purposes, the median salary in Occupational Health and Safety in the latest Employment and Social Development Job Bank report was $85,000*. 86.2% of respondents had at least 10 years of experience in occupational health and safety. The survey report for the first time also highlights respondent characteristics by certification (CRSP/CRST).

The 2025 Salary Survey and the findings serve as a valuable tool for OHS practitioners, human resource departments, senior managers and the public in terms of assessing employment trends/settings and salary comparisons in the OHS field.
