Regional Safety Advisor
We’re looking for an energetic safety professional who thrives on building strong partnerships, influencing positive change, and making safety a true foundation of how our teams work every day. In this role, you’ll be the regional champion for our safety programs, supporting frontline teams, guiding leaders, and ensuring our operations continue to meet the highest standards of safety excellence.
This position is open to candidates located in Brampton, York Mills, Toronto, and the surrounding GTA.
What you'll do:
• Champion safety culture: lead, guide, and elevate the work of Safety Committees across the region.
• Be the trusted expert: advise managers and frontline employees on identifying hazards, mitigating risks, and applying best‑in‑class safety practices.
• Drive continuous improvement: partner with Operations and Safety Managers to plan, develop, implement, and monitor impactful safety programs.
• Lead incident excellence: oversee the reporting, investigation, closure, and tracking of workplace incidents in the region.
• Stay ahead of the curve: maintain deep knowledge of safety legislation, industry trends, and emerging best practices—and translate them into practical solutions for the business
What you'll bring:
• University degree, preferably in Occupational Health and Safety; or related field• Minimum 5-7 years safety experience;
• Possession of, or working towards, Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation;
• Experience in providing technical safety support to field operations;
• Experience in the telecommunications industry is an asset;
• Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills;
• Proven ability to work independently, use critical thinking, take initiative and be resourceful;
• Strong ability to engage leaders and drive the implementation of policies and programs;
• Demonstrated communication skills and ability to effectively deal with all levels in an organization;
• Strong computer skills with knowledge of Windows applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint;
• Ability to travel within the region;
• Possession of a valid driver’s license, and reliable access to a personal vehicle.
