Eligibility Self-Assessment Tool

Is your post-secondary education from a Canadian Institution, or do you already have a credential evaluation equivalency report?

For BCRSP to evaluate your education, a credential evaluation report will be needed.

Please note BCRSP will require the original report to be sent directly from the agency.

As your post-secondary eduation was not primarily in OHS, submission of evidence of technical development is required. All 5 of the domains of practice (based on the 2024 CRST Examination Blueprint) should be covered and should total a minimum of 40 hours of technical development. Courses should be a structured learning activity and a minimum of 1 hour in length.

Do you have at least 12 months on the job experience in OHS where OHS is at least 35% of your job role?

As your post-secondary education was not primarily in OHS, submission of evidence of professional development is required. The Qualifications Review Committee (QRC) is expecting evidence of completion of professional development activities that span at all 6 categories from the CRSP Examination Blueprint and accumulate to a minimum of 100 hours. https://bcrsp.ca/en/prospective-certificants/why-become-crsp/are-you-eligible-crsp-certification

Do you lead and support key influencers, including managers, on strategies to foster an organizational culture that prioritizes OHS?
Do you lead and support the development of OHS management systems, policies & procedures and advise on and facilitate commitment of appropriate resources for sustainably managing OHS.
Do you communicate, engage with and influence decisionmakers and other stakeholders to mitigate risk and optimize worker health and safety?
Do you develop and lead processes for monitoring, measuring and evaluating OHS performance?
Do you lead development of OHS risk management processes and facilitate and support their implementation and maintenance.
