Steps for Life is the primary fundraising event for Threads of Life - a national charity dedicated to supporting families along their journey of healing after they have experienced a work-related fatality, life-altering injury or illness.
Steps for Life is seeking volunteers to help plan the 2023 Steps for Life walk in cities across Canada. Committee volunteers are active, with support from the Threads of Life staff, from October to May, working to secure sponsors, promote the event locally, handle logistics, recruit day of event volunteers and ensure that all goes smoothly on event day. Committee members contribute approximately 5 hours per month.
Steps for Life committee positions provide opportunities to network with like-minded health and safety professionals and contribute to the success of a well-known event that is making a significant difference in the lives of families who have experienced a workplace tragedy. Time spent volunteering on a Steps for Life committee can used as CEU’s towards CRSP or CRST recertification.
