MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO – July 3, 2017 The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) appoints Paul Andre, CRSP as Governing Board Chair effective July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018. Paul Andre is the twenty-second Chair since the certification body’s incorporation in 1976 and succeeds David Turner who has served as Chair since January 2016.
As the BCRSP Governing Board Chair, Paul Andre will lead the Governing Board through the execution of its strategic plan and vision. The strategic plan focuses on business growth, global leadership, strategic partnership and operational excellence.
As President and CEO (Acting) of Workplace Safety North based in North Bay, Ontario, Paul Andre has more than 25 years’ experience in occupational health and safety. Paul holds a forestry technician and technologist diploma from Sir Sandford Fleming College and a certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from Ryerson University. He has been a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® since 1996.

The new Board officially began their term July 1, 2017.

The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) is a federally incorporated self-regulating, self-governing, ISO 17024 accredited and ISO 9001 certified organization established in 1976. The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals sets certification standards for occupational health and safety professionals. The BCRSP grants the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® credential to individuals who successfully complete the certification process through application assessment, interview, and examination. The Board governs its certificants in order that the public interest may be served and protected.
