Tareq Al-Zabet, Ph.D., CRSP Assistant Deputy Minister, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Toronto, ON  

Tareq Al-Zabet, Board Governor, is the Assistant Deputy Minister, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, in Ontario. Dr. Al-Zabet holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences. Dr. Al-Zabet has over 25 years experience working in multiple jurisdictions, including Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and internationally. Dr. Al-Zabet has been a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® since 2011.

Paul Andre, CRSP, Vice President Prevention Services, Workplace Safety North, North Bay, ON 

Paul Andre, Board Vice Chair, is the Vice President Prevention Services for Workplace Safety North, in North Bay, Ontario. Mr. Andre holds a Forestry Technician and Forestry Technologist Diploma from Sir Sanford Fleming College and an Occupational, Health and Safety Certificate from Ryerson University. Mr. Andre has been a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® since 1996.

Paula M.A. Campkin, MBA, CRSP, ICD.D, Vice President & Chief Safety Officer, Enform Canada, Calgary, AB

Paula M.A. Campkin, Board Secretary-Treasurer is Vice President & Chief Safety Officer with Enform Canada in Calgary, Alberta. Ms. Campkin holds a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary, an MBA from the Haskayne School of Business, an Occupational Health & Safety Certificate from the University of Alberta, and a Project Management Certificate through Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Ms. Campkin has been a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) since 2004 and in 2015, she attained the designation of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D). Ms. Campkin has been a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® since 2006.

Andrea Cotroneo, LLB, Vice President & General Counsel, Capital One Canada, Toronto, ON

Andrea Cotroneo, Governor & Public Member, is Vice President & General Counsel for Capital One Canada and is based in Toronto, Ontario.  Andrea acts as the lead legal advisor for the Capital One Canada.  Regarded as a thought leader in the payments industry in Canada, Ms. Cotroneo has been appointed to consultative committees, has testified before numerous governmental committees, and is a frequent panelist at industry events.  Ms. Cotroneo holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Languages from Laurentian University and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ottawa, and has completed several executive management training courses. Ms Cotroneo has served as public member of the BCRSP since 2014.

Kevin J. Dawson, MBA, PEng, CRSP, Consultant, Omnius Consulting, Halifax, NS 

Kevin Dawson, Board Governor is principal consultant at Omnius consulting in Halifax, NS. Prior to forming Omnius, Kevin was the Manager, Safety & Health at Nalcor Energy. Mr. Dawson holds an B.Eng. (Mech) and an MBA from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Mr. Dawson is a member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE) and has served as the CSSE Avalon Chapter Chair; and he is a past Chair of the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Safety Association. Mr. Dawson has been a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® since 1998.

Alireza Golbabai, CRSP, Sr. HR Consultant, Occupational Health, Safety and Disability Mgmt, City of Toronto, Toronto, ON

Ali Golbabai, Board Governor is Sr. HR Consultant, OHS & Disability Management for the City of Toronto. His experience includes developing and overseeing frontline and management focused integrated management system frameworks, operational strategic plans, Six-Sigma and change management projects involving productivity and work culture improvement. Ali is registered as a Chartered Member with IOSH and holds the CRM designation granted by GRMI. Mr Golbabai has been a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® since 2013.

John M. Hollohan, B.Sc., B.A.Sc., CRSP, Director of Safety, EMERA Inc., Halifax, NS

John Hollohan, Board Governor has over 25 years in the health and safety profession in which he has held various senior management positions in both the public and  private industries. Currently, Mr. Hollohan is Director of Safety with EMERA Inc. in Halifax, NS. Mr. Hollohan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Memorial University, and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Ryerson University. He is currently working on a Master's Certificate in Organizational Development from Queen's University. Mr. Hollohan has served on numerous national Boards and Associations, and is Chair of the Canadian Electricity Association OHS Committee, and represents the BCRSP on the International Network of Safety and Health Practitioner Organisations (INSHPO). Mr. Hollohan has been a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® since 1999.

David Johnston, CRSP, Director, Environment Health and Safety, Toronto Hydro, Toronto, ON

David Johnston, Board Governor has over 30 years in the health and safety profession in which he has held various senior management positions. Currently, Mr. Johnston is Director, Environment Health & Safety, with Toronto Hydro in Toronto, ON.  Mr. Johnston has served on numerous national Boards and Associations, including the Industrial Accident Prevention Association Board of Directors, the Labour Canada Regulatory Review Committee, the Provincial Labour Management Safety Committee and the Canadian Electricity Association Occupational Safety Committee. . Mr. Johnston has been a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® since 1999.

Daniel T. Lyons, B.Sc., MPH, CSP, CMIOSH, CHRP, CRSP, Vice President, Health, Safety & Environment, Armtec, Guelph, ON

Dan Lyons, Board Past Chair is the Vice President, Health, Safety & Environment of Armtec based in Guelph, Ontario; and has more than 25 years' experience in health and safety management. Mr. Lyons has several academic achievements, including a Master's degree in Environmental Health Sciences from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Mr. Lyons is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) in addition to holding a number of other certifications and professional memberships. Mr. Lyons has served on various provincial and national health and safety boards and committees, including most recently the International Network of Safety and Health Practitioner Organisations (INSHPO). Mr. Lyons has been a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® since1995.

Geeta Sharma, MPH, CRSP, CRM, Associate Director, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Risk Management, Ryerson University, Toronto, ON

Geeta Sharma, Board Governor is the Associate Director, EHS and Risk Management at Ryerson University. Her career spans across higher education; municipal government; distribution; and industrial settings for both public and private unionized workplaces such as Ryerson and OCAD University. Her credentials include an MPH degree from Tulane University, a B.A.Sc., from Ryerson University; and a 2-year diploma in Biochemistry from Seneca College. Ms Sharma holds the CRM designation and sits on the Education Advisory Council of the Public Services Health and Safety Association. She is also a member of Risk and Insurance Management Society, Ontario Municipal Health and Safety Association, and the Universities Council of Environment, Health and Safety Officers. Ms. Sharma has been a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® since 2003.

Dave Turner, MBA, PEng, CMSP, CRSP, President & Lead OHS Specialist, Turner Safety Systems Ltd., Maple Creek, SK

Dave Turner, Board Chair, is the President and Lead OHS Specialist for Turner Safety Systems Ltd in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. Mr. Turner graduated from the University of Nottingham in 1973 with a B.Sc.(Hons) in Mining Engineering and holds an MBA from City University of Seattle. He is a member of Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE) and serves on the CSSE Awards Committee. Mr. Turner has been a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® since 2001.

Nicola (Nikki) Wright, CAE, Executive Director, Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals

Nikki Wright, Executive Director of BCRSP and Vice President Client Services of Fletcher Wright Associates Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario. Ms Wright holds a BA (Hons) from Trent University and received her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) in 2009. Ms. Wright is a member of CSAE, Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). In 2004, Ms. Wright was the recipient of the MPI Toronto Chapter President's Award, has served on numerous committees and task forces, and has authored several articles for various association publications. Ms. Wright has been the Board's Executive Director since January 1, 2011.
